Hot Jobs – Cool Site
It’s been around for years, but sometimes you need a jolt to remind you. One of the larger sites in the online job field of course is HotJobs.com.
The site itself is a bit busy for my personal tastes. But that doesn’t mean you should post a resume and setup email job notices on it. Being a part of Yahoo!, Hotjobs has the reach that few online job sites can attain. HotJobs has partnered with many local newspapers to post job ads from the paper on the site. This gives very good coverage to local job opportunities that you may otherwise overlook in the other large employment websites.
If you’ve not already setup an account and posted your resume at HotJobs.com, take 15 minutes and get it done. The tools available for creating job email notices along with an ongoing count for employer resume views and times your resume turned up in an employer search is well worth it. The Hotjobs search is one of my favorite as you can pin point the area in which you are looking for a job. But it also allows you to narrow those results to exclude recruiter or employment agency postings as well as the ‘Nationwide Opportunity’ postings. The HotJobs search feature gets exactly what you’re looking for and can easily be saved as a email notice sent out daily.
